Characteristics of a Good Announcement
Management communication with residents mostly runs through announcements. A good announcement is short, clear, polite and informative. Ambiguous or imperative language creates disputes; clear and respectful language increases cooperation. Below you will find copyable samples for the three most needed announcement types.
1. Dues Reminder Announcement

3. Maintenance / Service Interruption Announcement

During this period, our ……………… (lift / water / electricity) service will be temporarily unavailable. Thank you in advance for your understanding regarding any inconvenience that may occur.

Watch Out for KVKK in the Announcement
Since announcements are shared on notice boards or groups visible to everyone, they should not contain personal information (especially debtor names and debt amounts). Sharing debt information in an open announcement is a KVKK violation; the correct path is individual notification. We covered this in our dues list and KVKK article, and transparent and orderly communication in our transparent accounts article.
Common Mistakes
- Imperative language: Instead of a harsh expression, polite and clear language increases cooperation.
- Disclosure of personal information: Sharing the debtor's name/amount in the announcement is a KVKK violation.
- Ambiguity: Date, time, place and amount must be clear.
