Gallery — Album and Media Sharing
Organizing complex event, meeting, and social activity photos as albums; opening to residents or keeping management-only; tracking likes.
Ücretsiz pakette modül kartı üzerinde kilit simgesi görünür; tıklayınca bilgi penceresi açılır. Tüm özellikleri kullanmak için Membership Plan gereklidir.
The Gallery module organizes photos taken from complex events (spring festival, pool opening, meeting, children's activity, etc.) as albums and shares them with residents. Residents view, like, and share the photos on social media through their own panel. It is a module that strengthens the sense of complex community.
Where to open?
From the left menu, Management → Gallery. All existing albums appear in the card grid. At the upper right:
- Categories button — redirects to the Settings > Categories tab (manage gallery categories there).
- New Album purple button — opens the new album modal.
1. Create a new album
Press the New Album button. The modal opens:
Basic information
- Album Name — required (e.g., "Pool Opening 2027" / "Annual Festival" / "New Elevator Test").
- Category — optional; category shown with a colored badge (e.g., "Event" / "Maintenance" / "Meeting"). Search by typing + option to add a new category (press Enter → automatically colored new category is created).
- Visibility — two options:
- Show to Residents — reflected on the resident panel, everyone sees.
- Hidden (management only) — visible only on the management panel. For sensitive document photos, visuals kept for audit.
- Description — optional; short text about the album.
Press the Create and Add Media button → the album is created and you are redirected to the detail page.
2. Adding media (photos)
On the album detail page:
- Press the Upload button or drag the photos and drop them in the area.
- Multiple photos can be selected at the same time (Ctrl+click).
- The system automatically creates thumbnail, medium (card view), and large (lightbox) versions. The original is also preserved.
- You can add optional description and sorting for each photo.
Cover photo
To select the cover photo that will appear on the album card in the list, click on a media and use the "Set as Cover" option. If no cover is selected, the first photo automatically becomes the cover.
3. Album list
On the main gallery page, each album appears as a card:
- At the top, cover photo (if none, plain icon).
- Category badge (colored).
- Media counter (how many photos there are).
- Album name.
- Short description (if any).
If you click on the card, you go to the album detail.
4. Viewing by the resident
Only albums with Visibility = Show to Residents fall on the resident panel (Site Services → Gallery). The resident:
- Can browse the album list.
- Can open an album and see the photos.
- If they click on a photo, the lightbox (enlarged view) opens.
- Through the lightbox, download the photo, share on social media (WhatsApp/Facebook), close.
- Likes or dislikes the album (bulk statistics are visible on the management panel).
5. Album like statistics (detail page)
On the album detail, in the right panel, the likes given by residents are visible:
- Liked count (green star).
- Disliked count (red).
- Unique resident count (how many different residents interacted).
- List — who liked / disliked (name + unit + date).
These statistics are useful for understanding which content is popular and the level of resident interaction.
6. Editing or deleting an album
On the album detail page:
- Edit — name, category, visibility, description are changed.
- Change visibility — hide from resident or open.
- Delete — the album is moved to the archive; photos are deleted from the system (no undo).
7. Deleting media
Click on a photo and use the Delete option. A single photo is removed, the album continues.
Practical suggestions
- Open the album immediately after the event — upload photos the same day the spring festival ends; resident interest drops in 2-3 days.
- 10-20 photos are sufficient — if you upload hundreds of photos, residents get tired and don't look. Choose the best 10-20.
- Keep the description line short — 1 sentence like "Group photo after meeting" is sufficient.
- Upload sensitive management documents with "Hidden" option — you keep records for audit but don't open to residents.
- Categories should be careful — use meaningful categories like (Event / Maintenance / Meeting / Decisions) so residents can filter.
Next step
To share written content (news, announcement details, explanations) with residents, the site blog is described in the last article.
