Logo / Avatar Not Displayed — Browser Cache and Page Refresh
A newly uploaded logo, avatar, or any visual appears in its old state on the panel. Ways to clear the browser cache and refresh the page correctly.
You uploaded a new logo, avatar, or visual, but the old state is still visible on the panel. This is almost always due to the browser showing the old copy of the visual from its cache (the copy it keeps for fast access). This article explains the fastest solutions.
1. First verify this: Was the upload successful?
During upload, did a green "Saved successfully" message come to the screen? If so, the file was really uploaded; the issue is only on the display side. If an error message came, it could be:
- File too large — At most 2 MB is allowed for avatar, at most 500 KB for logo.
- File type not suitable — Use JPG / PNG / WebP. PDF or HEIC is not supported.
- Resolution too small — Very small (e.g., 50×50) visuals may appear blurry; at least 400×400 is recommended.
If the upload was really successful, the issue is the browser cache issue below.
2. Fastest solution — Hard refresh
To tell the browser "forget the saved copies, bring the page from scratch":
- Windows:
Ctrl+F5(orCtrl+Shift+R). - Mac:
Cmd+Shift+R.
In most cases, this is sufficient. The new visual takes its place immediately.
F5 or refresh button) continues to use the browser's cache — hard refresh ignores the cache, refreshes new visuals from the server.3. If hard refresh is not enough — Clearing the browser cache
For a stricter cleaning in your browser:
Google Chrome / Edge
- From the three-dot menu at the top right, More Tools → Clear Browsing Data.
- Time range "Last 1 hour" is sufficient.
- Check only the "Cached images and files" box (do not check cookies and passwords).
- Click the Clear Data button.
- Return to the panel tab and refresh the page.
Mozilla Firefox
- From the three-line menu at the top right, Settings → Privacy and Security.
- Under "Cookies and Site Data" heading, Clear Data.
- Select only "Cached Web Content".
- Clear and refresh the panel tab.
4. If it still doesn't work — Try in incognito window
Open an incognito window in the browser (Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N / Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P) and log into the panel. Incognito window does not use cache — if the new visual is visible, the issue was definitely cache; it means the cleaning in your main window was not enough, clean a little more thoroughly.
5. On phone / tablet
- iPhone / iPad: Safari → Settings → Safari → Clear History and Website Data.
- Android: Chrome → Three dots at the top right → History → Clear Browsing Data → "Cached images and files".
6. System logo (Apt Yönet logo at the upper left) did not change
This logo is the common panel logo that all users see and can only be changed by the system administrator. Even after the administrator makes the change, if you see the old state in your own browser, the hard refresh steps above apply.
If you want the system logo changed: open a support ticket.
