What Is a Common Area?

Under KMK, common areas include the entrance hall, staircases, elevator, garden, roof, and shared installations. Individual apartment owners cannot make unauthorized modifications to these areas.

What Counts as Unauthorized Interference?

Installing walls, wardrobes, storage units, satellite dishes or air conditioners without approval from other apartment owners qualifies as unauthorized interference.

Legal Remedies

Managers can request removal of unauthorized constructions through the courts. KMK Article 33 provides the legal basis for enforcement.
