Personalizing the Dashboard — Add Widgets, Sort, Reset
Edit Dashboard mode, adding from the Widget Pool, reordering with drag-and-drop, removing extra widgets, and returning to the original layout with Restore Defaults.
There are 29 different indicators (KPIs and widgets) on the Overview page in Apt Yönet; by default 13 are open, 16 wait hidden in the pool. You can customize this layout according to your complex's needs and save it permanently.
Prerequisite
- Personalization is ONLY available in the complex manager role. The Edit button does not appear in the resident panel.
- The preference setting is complex-based: the same user can use different layouts in different complexes; the layout you set for this complex only affects this complex's dashboard.
- Drag-and-drop works on the desktop screen. On mobile, the Edit button is hidden; switch to desktop for the preference.
1. Open Edit mode
At the upper right of the Overview page is the Edit Dashboard button (with pencil icon). Press this button. Edit mode opens:
- A sticky purple toolbar appears at the top of the page.
- Borders and drag marks appear on the edges of all widgets.
- Four options are on the toolbar: Add Widget, Restore Defaults, Finish, and the informational text "Changes are saved instantly."
2. Add a new widget
Press the Add Widget button in the toolbar of Edit mode (with a badge showing the number of widgets remaining in the pool next to it). Hidden widgets are listed in the Widget Pool panel that opens from the right.
Pool is grouped into two
- Top Cards (KPI) — Indicators that will appear as small cards in the top horizontal bar of the dashboard (e.g., Collection Rate, Unit Occupancy, This Month Income/Expense, Average Dues).
- Bottom Widgets — Widgets that will appear as large blocks in the left or right column (e.g., Financial Summary, Income/Expense Comparison, Cash Flow, Recent Collections, Recent Payments).
Addition methods
You can add a widget from the pool to the dashboard in two ways:
- Click-to-add — Click the card; the widget falls into its default column (KPI at the top, bottom widget on the left or right).
- Drag-and-drop — Hold the card and drop it in the desired position on the dashboard.
The added widget appears instantly and pulls data automatically. The drawer stays open; you can add another widget.
3. Reorder widgets
In Edit mode, a drag cursor (arrow icon) appears at the top corner of each widget:
- Click and hold a widget, drag to another position, drop.
- Repositioning within the same column: the order of cards changes in the KPI bar, widgets swap top-bottom in the left column.
- Left ↔ Right movement: you can move a widget in the left column to the right column, or vice versa.
- Cards in the KPI bar are ONLY dragged within the top bar; they cannot be moved to the bottom columns (different design group).
4. Remove a widget from the dashboard
In addition to dragging, there is an X (remove) button at the upper right of each widget. When clicked, the widget is removed from the dashboard and returns to the pool. You can add it back later with Add Widget.
5. Changes are saved automatically
After each drag, addition, or removal, preferences are saved to the server instantly. You don't need to press a "Save" button. A small notification (toast) at the bottom left says "layout saved."
6. Close Edit mode
When you are done, press the green Finish button in the toolbar. The page returns to normal: borders disappear, the purple toolbar closes. The last layout you dragged is permanent.
7. Restore Defaults — reset to original layout
If you have changed too much and caused confusion, or want to see the original Apt Yönet layout again: press the Restore Defaults button on the toolbar in Edit mode.
Confirmation window appears: "Reset to defaults? All your personal layout will be deleted." When you say Yes, Reset:
- KPI bar: Account Distribution, Debtor Units, Cash + Bank, Overdue Account (4 cards, default order).
- Left column: Receivables, Payables, Estimated Balance in 30 Days, Monthly Collection Trend, Cash+Bank Trend.
- Right column: Pending Tasks, Upcoming Due, Reminders, Calendar.
- Other 15 widgets return to the pool.
Reset is immediately permanent — your custom layout is deleted, cannot be undone.
Practical suggestions
- Dues-focused management → Collection Rate + Average Dues in KPIs; Income/Expense Comparison in the left column.
- If you have many enforcement files → Active Enforcement in KPIs; Recent Collections in the right column.
- If you receive intense support requests → Pending Ticket in KPIs; Recent Tickets in the right column.
- If you prefer a simple view → Drop the widgets in the right column to the pool and work only with the large indicators in the left column.
Congratulations!
Your dashboard is now configured to your needs. Your personal layout is preserved every time you open the page. As the complex grows or your workflow changes, you can open Edit mode and update the layout.
